3 Addresses

WAP addresses are similar to web addresses. The address if often referred to as the URL or Uniform Resource Locator. This is the familiar www name.

URL Explained

URL's start with the code http:// for Hypertext Transfer Protocol. This is the system used to link sites together. www is World Wide Web as WAP sites are stored on the internet like other Web sites. The name after www, in this case 'wapdrive.com' is the server, the host computer where the data is stored. Following the forward slash is the file directory or file name. All data for an individual site is found within this file. Next is the deck name ending in .wml. Finally in this case is the individual card name, preceded by the # or hash symbol.
