WAP Tutorial Formatting

Text appearance can be modified/highlighted using context-based and physical style tags.

Context-based tags tell the browser the highlighted text is special. By default use context-based tags in most cases.

For emphasis, usually rendered in italic. 
For even more emphasis, usually bold.

If no special meaning is implied then a physical tag can be used. These imply nothing, simply telling the browser to display differently.

Normal, bold, italic, <big>bigger,</big> smaller, underline.

Normal, bold,

underline.

These tags are not supported by every browser. Some even ignore text formatting tags entirely.
